Major General Michael S. Cederholm speaks with Sgt. Lafayette Halmon aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dec. 7, 2020. Cederholm visited the installation’s thrift shop to commend the volunteers for their time and dedication while continuing to serve the on-base community during a pandemic. The Whistle Stop Thrift Shop’s profits generated by sales provide scholarships for military dependents as well as financial assistance to local, regional, and national organizations. Halmon is an instructor at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Command.
