YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 11, 2020) – Rear Adm. Brian Fort, Commander, Navy Region Japan (CNRJ), Capt. Rich Jarrett, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), and members of CFAY, CNRJ and Army Corps of Engineers staff tour the new Gridley Child Development Center onboard CFAY after an opening ceremony. The new $12 million facility will be able to accommodate more than 140 children onboard the installation. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
