The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's contractor Cold Spring Construction Company of Akron, NY, works on repairs to 1,300 feet of the seawall at the northern section of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park, Buffalo, NY, October 14, 2020.
The project will repair approximately 1,300 feet of seawall of the northern section of LaSalle Park, Buffalo, NY, seawall fronting the Colonel F.G. Ward Pumping Station that has deteriorated over time due to Lake Erie ice and wave action. Protecting the pump station is essential because it is the primary source of drinking water for the City of Buffalo residents.
