A member of the Carteret County Military Affairs Committee (MAC) hands a box of cookies and other baked goods to a unit representative during the 18th annual Cookies for the Troops event, held at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dec. 17, 2020. The Carteret MAC brought thousands of cookies as a show of appreciation for Marines and Sailors working during the holiday period. This year the event was modified in compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines and held as a drive-through. It was assembled in the covered area at Miller’s Landing so representatives from each unit could pick up a portion of the cookies.
