200527-N-DQ752-1038 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 27, 2020) Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Luis Oliveras from Brandon, Fla. braises a pipe for a salt water flushing system aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the CSG, while testing a strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
