200514-N-BC190-1055 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 14, 2020) Sailors observe flight operations on the flight deck of the USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group conducted a simulated Strait Transit along as part of a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of a CSG, while testing a strike group’s ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
