9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Airmen run out to remove pogo pins for takeoff Dec. 22, 2020, at Beale Air Force Base, California. The pogos provide balance and stability to the aircraft when taxied and parked. They are designed to disengage from the aircraft upon takeoff and are manually re-engaged after landing.
