U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Pamela Green, of Detroit, Mich., serves U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class William Washington, of Elgin, S.C., his meal at Pegasus Inn on Bagram Air Field Aug. 17, 2012. The soldier-run and operated facility is the only one of its kind in Regional-Command East. All other major dining facilities are operated through contract assistance. Pegasus Inn closed its doors permanently Aug. 17 due to troop drawdown in Afghanistan.
