MIHAIL KOGALNICEANU, Romania – Lt. Col. Jeremy A. McHugh, Garrison Commander, Area Support Activity-Black Sea, MK Air Base, Romania and Novo Solo Training Area, Bulgaria and Col. Andrew T. Conant, Commander, Area Support Group-Black Sea discuss COVID-19 mitigation efforts in the base exercise facilities with Maj. Gen. Christopher O. Mohan, Commanding General, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, during his visit here Jan 12. One of Maj. Gen. Mohan's biggest focuses during the trip was making sure the base was doing all it could to combat COVID-19 and was prepared for the coming vaccination. “The ability to protect ourselves from COVID and to vaccinate against it will support our overall goal of deterrence, mission readiness, and interoperability with our NATO allies,” he said.
