Marine Gunnery Sgt. Sandra Center, a drill instructor at Officer Candidate School, congratulates Ensign Maria Batdorff, from Harbert, Mich., after giving Batdorff her first salute after she graduated with more than 40 other new ensigns from Officer Candidate School. Chief of Naval Personnel Vice Adm. Mark E. Ferguson III was the reviewing officer and keynote speaker at the ceremony. He was also a speaker and participant at a ribbon cutting rededication ceremony for the main training facility of Officer Candidate School, Callaghan Hall. The $9.2 million two-year renovation project of the 30-year-old building will now be a state-of-the-art facility for training present and future Navy officers. (U.S. Navy photo by Scott A.
