FORT BENNING, Ga. – A view of homes at the Norton Court residential housing area here. Built in 1957, the area is slated for power-washing and other fix-ups after Maj. Gen. Patrick J. Donahoe, commanding general of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, accompanied by other key officials, made a "walking town hall" visit to Norton Court Jan. 20. The visit was part of a new series of "walking town hall" visits for a first-hand look at conditions in Fort Benning's residential area. Plans call for Donahoe and others to visit residential housing areas at a rate of one a month.
