PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 2, 2020) – U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Scott Kibler (left) signals to launch a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, attached to the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, with safety observer Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Marissa Martin aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
