The 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, addresses Instructors with School of Infantry-West (SOI-W) at Camp Pendleton, Ca, Feb. 10, 2021. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps conducted the visit to view the new Infantry Marine Course (IMC) first-hand and address the staff responsible for implementing the changes to combat training. School of Infantry-West trains riflemen, infantrymen, and assault amphibian crewman in occupation skills across the infantry training continuum, and produces combat instructors who train Marines here and throughout their careers to dominate and control any battlespace.
