Sgt. 1st Class David Gonzalez, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, and Pueblo, Colo. native, checks the fit of the new Improved Outer Tactical Vest he was issued at Butts Army Airfield Nov. 14. The IOTV is designed to offer its wearer 52 square inches more of protection than the previous body army system. Soldiers from the 3rd BCT received the new equipment prior to deploying to Iraq later this year for up to 15 months.
