    Field artillery history on display

Hopedale, Mass., native Pvt. Shaun Connor, a field artilleryman for Battery A, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, enjoys a day spent painting a Korean War-era M2A2 105 mm Howitzer on Camp Taji, Iraq, Nov. 13. The Korean War-era field artillery piece is one of many vintage pieces which units have on display outside their unit buildings on the base camp. With just a couple of months left to go until the unit's return to Fort Hood, Texas, Battery A has been working to get their unit area ready for their replacements who arrive sometime early next year.
