U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kamerin Hervey, an administrative law clerk, and Cpl. Da’Shawn McGee, a trial services noncommissioned officer in charge with the Legal Services Support Section, Headquarters and Support Battalion, places Hervey’s wheelchair into a vehicle on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 23, 2021. Hervey is an active duty Marine, wheelchair bound due to his bilateral tibia stress fractures in both shins. He was injured during the initial Combat Fitness Test at recruit training, but he does not let it hold him back. Every day has its own set of challenges, but through courage and persistence Hervey stays true to himself and others. Hervey is a native of Longmont, Colorado, and McGee is a native of Chicago, Illinois. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Karis Mattingly)
