Roig is the commander of the 50th Regional Support Group (RSG) from Homestead, Florida, which has just completed 10 days of “restriction of movement” at FOS Torun, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Schell is the commander of the 297th RSG from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, which is nearing the end of its nine-month deployment. The 50th RSG will take the 297th RSG’s place in Poland supporting the European Deterrence Initiative as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve by providing management and base operations support at various forward operating sites throughout the country.
