U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Cesar Flores, a field artillery cannoneer with Kilo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, carries an M777 howitzer round duringĀ a fire support exercise on Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., Jan. 21, 2021. The training is part of Integrated Service Level Training Exercise (SLTE) 2-21, a combined arms training exercise intended to produce combat ready forces capable of operating as an integrated Marine Air-Ground Task Force. SLTE 2-21 affords 6th Marine Regiment an opportunity to exercise command and control of warfighting functions from across the Marine Corps and against a live, free thinking, adversary.
