210224-N-LG955-1018 OKINAWA, Japan (Feb. 24, 2021) A CH-53E Super Stallion aircraft with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 drops off a CAT 279D Skid-steer from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4. The joint Helicopter Support Team external lift demonstrates the ship-to-shore concept that enables rapid transportation of Civil Engineering Support Equipment in support of Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations. NMCB-4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
