(Feb. 5, 2021) - Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Mechanical Engineer, Matthew Simon, removes excess nylon powder from 3D printed nasopharyngeal swab cages before going into an automated glass bead blaster for further processing. The removed excess powder is recycled and used for future builds. FRCSE is providing 3D printed nasopharyngeal swabs in support of COVID-19 containment efforts.
