On 06 Jan 21, the 628 CES Emergency Management team at JB Charleston, South Carolina, conducted an unexpected field drill that sharpened their CBRN skills and enhanced their readiness. In this photo, the team prepares a sample of the unknown liquid that will be shipped to and identified at an official lab. Before packaging the sample, SrA Justin Hanberry and SSgt Ashley Williamson used pH strips, M8 paper, and a handheld ResQ detection system to make a presumptive identification on the liquid (USAF photo by TSgt Nick Pompa).
