A U.S. Soldier and Jordanian military range instructor watch shell casings fly during a live fire training exercise in Southern Jordan, Feb. 17. The Jordanian’s 3rd Border Guard Group’s new recruits and their supervisors have been working side by side U.S. Soldiers of 3rd Battalion, 126th Infantry Regiment, currently deployed in support of Task Force Spartan, for a few weeks. Training together allowed new recruits to witness the inner dynamics of U.S. Army squad tactics and how the team relies on one another. The U.S. Soldiers offered mentorship while the training received by the new recruits came directly from their chain of command. The two forces worked through weapons drills and other basic soldier skills to further strengthen bonds and improve interoperability.
