Senator John McCain, second on the right, the Republican representative of Arizona, and Brig. Gen. (Maj. Gen. select) Steven W. Busby, farthest on the right, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing commanding general , eat lunch with Marines, who are involved with the burgeoning F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, at the Sonoran Pueblo, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Aug. 22. McCain requested specifically to speak with pilots and Marines in the know about the new aircraft. The Senator’s and commanding general’s tours served to inform command about the progress of the JSF, the construction and what lies ahead for the program.
