NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Jan. 25, 2021) Giovanni Pesce, low voltage foreman, assigned to Public Works Department Sigonella, was selected as the Supervisory Civilian of the 4th Quarter for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe Africa Central (EURAFCENT). Pesce, newly promoted Engineer Technician at the FEAD, was a key contributor in identifying redundancy within the NAS Sigonella power supply and expertly managed the execution of an electrical panel replacement.
"This is proof that if a person works hard and performs their assigned duties to the best of their ability, it's possible to receive recognition and even promotion," said Pesce. "I honestly didn't expect this promotion and my main goal is to always put forth my best effort and try to do what id best for both for myself and for my chain of command.
