Spc. Robert Lanham of B Company, 505th Engineer Battalion, washed the pepper spray out of his eyes and off of his face after successfully completing the course at Camp Butner, N.C., Aug. 28. The training required him to be pepper sprayed then complete four stations, which ensured his ability to successfully ward off a combatant after being sprayed. The soldiers have proven their courage and commitment through sacrificing their own comfort to ensure they are capable of completing their job.
