U.S. Marines with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, stand by with an M777 towed 155 mm howitzer to commence a live-fire defense simulation at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California, March 30, 2021. This live-fire defense was set up with M777 towed 155 mm howitzers, .50-caliber machine guns, M240B machine guns as well as M4 carbines and M16A1 rifles, to repel notional enemy attacks from the artillery position.
