Cherry Point Fire and Emergency Services firefighters survey the progress of their new training tower aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Aug. 24. The idea for the training tower started in late 2009, but before any plans were drawn firefighters from aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point sat down together to create a list of features they wanted in the new facility.
