Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, makes remarks during the 20th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony on April 7, 2020, for the MI-17 helicopter crash in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam, that took the lives of seven U.S. service members and nine Vietnamese service members while on a mission to search for missing U.S. service members on April 7, 2001. The ceremony was held in the POW/MIA Corridor of the Pentagon, and also featured remarks from His Excellency Ha Kim Ngoc, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the U.S.; Kelly McKeague, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Director; and Rennie Cory III, whose father, a personal friend of Milley’s, was killed in the crash.
