Overlooking the expanse of cattails the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins work alongside the L-67 canal and L-67A levee. The Central Everglades Planning Project will identify and plan projects on land already in public ownership to allow more water to be directed south to the central Everglades, Everglades National Park, and Florida Bay.
