Sgt. 1st Class Heriberto Hernandez, the Future Operations non-commissioned officer in charge for Task Force Spartan, paints the TF Spartan commemorative T-Wall he worked on throughout March 2021, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Hernandez won the T-wall design contest for TF Spartan earlier in the year and began to implement his design, with the help of Staff Sgt. Dolores Bocanegra, the Provost Marshal non-commissioned officer in charge for the TF Spartan Protection Cell. “We faced a major challenge throughout the process,” said Hernandez. “We noticed the T-patch and shield weren’t centered and would throw off everything going forward. We spoke about potentially redoing two-day’s work but decided that the T-wall deserved more. It deserved to represent nearly flawless effort and a tough decision was made, but we restarted the entire center. 36ID has never cut corner during this deployment and perseveres through challenging decisions. The T-wall is a representation of what a Texas-strong division brings to the table.” (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Neil McCabe, 310th Sustainment Command Public Affairs)
