Hawaii Army and Air National Guard personnel manned an in-person distribution site near the Diamond Head crater Mar 31, 2021. Health care customers and other eligible residents, who had previously signed up on the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to pick up boxes of Personnel Protective equipment (PPE), which included isolation gowns, goggles, face shields, cloth and disposable masks as well as one-gallon bottles of bleach and hand sanitizers. Customers who registered on the HI-EMA website at the start of the pandemic have been receiving PPE over the course of the last 12 months.
