Marines assigned to Battalion Landing Team 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, egress from an amphibious assault vehicle while performing a direct action raid on a building at Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 8, 2012. AAV's are an essential part of the MEU; their main mission is to transport Marines and sailors from ship to shore, so they are able to accomplish their objective. This training was part of the 26th MEU's pre-deployment training program. BLT 3/2 is one of the three reinforcements of 26th MEU, which is slated to deploy in 2013.
