A U.S. Marine with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), stuffs his parachute in a bag at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, April 15, 2021. The MRF conducted high-altitude jumps and dropped joint precision air drop systems to maintain readiness for future exercises and operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
