A U.S. Marine with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), jumps from a MV-22B Osprey over Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, April 15, 2021. The MRF conducted hoist operations and dropped joint precision air drop systems to maintain readiness for future exercises and operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
