CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (April 23, 2021) U.S. Navy Lt. Jae Dugan, from Portland, Ore., points out what a positive COVID-19 result looks like when performing high-throughput testing on a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machine at the Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) at Camp Lemonnier on April 23, 2021.The NAMRU team has done thousands of lab tests since spring, 2020. In support of joint U.S. warfighters, the NAMRU researches and tracks of infectious diseases, environment health concerns and epidemiology and behavioral sciences, to support military personnel deployed to Africa, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.
