CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (April 23, 2021) The Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) team poses for a photo between tasks at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, on April 23, 2021. They are recognized for their contributions to COVID-19. They have done thousands of lab tests since spring, 2020. In support of joint U.S. warfighters, the NAMRU researches and tracks of infectious diseases, environment health concerns and epidemiology and behavioral sciences, to support military personnel deployed to Africa, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.
