Phoenix, native Spc. John Brode, a crew chief for Company C 'Witch Doctors,' 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, waits for the next available customs inspector in Balad, Iraq, Nov 18. After nearly a 15 month deployment, the Witch Doctors, the 1st Cav. Div.'s medical evacuation unit, are headed home to Fort Carson, Colo. These Soldiers will be flying along with their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters inside a large transport airplane back to the U.S.
