Army Spc. Bertha Fisher (right), of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 105th Military Police Battalion, takes a break from North Carolina National Guard annual training, Aug. 30, 2012, to put her freshly laundered clothing into a bag at Camp Green in Charlotte, N.C. Barbara Ward, a volunteer with the N.C. Baptist Men, helped Fisher locate her clothing and offered to fold them but Fisher declined. Fisher said she appreciates the volunteers work because it gives her one less thing to worry about during the exercise. Operation Panther is a training exercise preparing National Guard service members for real-world scenarios and supporting the Mecklenburg civil authorities during the Democratic National Convention, Sept. 3-6, 2012.
