U.S. Marines with the Marine Air Traffic Control Motor Team, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (Reinforced), Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, use a dynamic cane penetrometer to test the ground’s sublayers and stability during a site survey at Tiwi Island, NT, Australia, May 3, 2021. Marines and ADF members conducted a site survey at Tiwi Island in preparation of an upcoming exercise for MRF-D’s 10th rotation. The 2021 rotation provides the U.S. Marine Corps and ADF with an exceptional opportunity to develop relationships, learn about each other’s cultures, strengthen partnership, and increase shared military capabilities.
