Soldiers from the Florida Army National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team land in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), May 15, 2021. The 2-124th is in BiH for Immediate Response 21, a training exercise with approximately 500 members of the BiH Armed Forces and about 700 U.S. Soldiers working side by side to enhance alliance security while maintaining a broad range of military capabilities to deter aggression and assure readiness. Immediate Response 21 is part of DEFENDER-Europe 21, a joint exercise that integrates approximately 28,000 multinational forces from 26 nations to conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in 12 countries.
