U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Eric Nelson, addresses Soldiers from the Florida Army National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, after they arrived in Sarajevo, BiH, May 15, 2021. Nelson welcomed U.S. Soldiers and briefed the importance of their role in Immediate Response 21, which will strengthen the friendships developed through partnerships for both the benefit of BiH Armed Forces and U.S. Armed Forces. Immediate Response 21 is part of DEFENDER-Europe 21, a prime example of U.S. forces working closely with NATO allies and partners in peacetime. Together, joint forces can deter outside aggression.
