PACIFIC OCEAN (May 20, 2021) – A U.S. Navy MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23, transports ammunition from the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during an ammunition offload. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
