U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Robert Clyde, 490th Civil Affairs Battalion's Team 12 sergeant, presents Houmed Abokari Houmed, a Djibouti armed forces member, with a certificate of appreciation Sept. 12, 2012, that expressed thanks from the team for the opportunity to partner with the school to teach English. Houmed is one of 17 Djiboutian service members enrolled in the English language course at Camp Chiek Osman in Djibouti City, Djibouti, scheduled to graduate in December. The civil affairs battalion is assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, which has civil affairs teams throughout eastern Africa working with military counterparts and the civilian population.
