    Kimo Williams (left), a Vietnam War veteran and musician and Gary Sinise, an actor, director and bass guitar player for the Lt. Dan Band share an embrace during a sound check before their performance at the Fort Bragg, N.C. Fairgrounds, Sept. 14. Sinise and Williams formed the Lt. Dan Band in 2003 after working together at the Steppenwolf Theatre production of A Streetcar Named Desire. The Lt. Dan Band performed for the first time in 2004 on a United Service Organization tour and have been performing for troops around the world since then.
