John Cage, commodore of Commander, Submarine Squadron 20, delivers remarks at a change of command ceremony for the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740) (Gold). Cmdr. David Burke relieved Cmdr. Jason Anderson as the commanding officer of Rhode Island Gold crew. Rhode Island is one of six ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base and is capable of carrying up to 20 submarine-launched ballistic missiles with multiple warheads.
