    210529-N-JH293-1005
ST. LOUIS (May 29, 2021) Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery is the resting place for more than 237,000 graves and covers an area of 331 acres. Approximately 70 volunteers from various organizations, including chiefs and Future Sailors at Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Mid America, placed U.S. flags on the graves, May 29, 2021. The flag laying commemoration is a tradition that has continued for more than six decades at Jefferson Barracks during Memorial Day weekend. NTAG Mid America, part of Navy Recruiting Command, recruits the next generation of Navy Sailors throughout areas encompassing Missouri, Kansas, central and southern Illinois, and a portion of Kentucky.
