Kentucky Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Wilkinson, the assistant adjutant general (Air), and Kentucky Army National Guard State Command Sgt. Maj. Jesse Withers carry a wreath during the annual Memorial Day ceremony May 31, 2021.
This year's event focused on the new name added to the Memorial’s stone face and the fifteen fallen of the 103rd and 106th Coast Artillery Battalions whose names appear on the Memorial on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of World War II. These men fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, and Germany. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Benjamin Crane)
