Soldiers from C Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, stand tall to honor their hero, Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, who died May 25, 2012, in Afghanistan. Fort Bliss’ new $8.2 million, 23,500-square-foot Soldier Activity Center was dedicated to Loeza at a ceremony Sept. 12. The SAC was established as an alternative, positive gathering place for soldiers to relax with their peers.
