Fifteen newly-pinned Navy chiefs present themselves after receiving their anchors to the nearly 800 people attending the chief petty officer pinning ceremony at the Fort Sam Houston Theatre, Sept. 14. Vice Adm. Matthew Nathan, surgeon general of the Navy, attended the ceremony during his visit at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.
