Martin Dumond, training instructor for the Humanitarian Demining Training Center, out of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., left, demonstrates the proper way scan for mines in a suspected hazard area during the one-man drill portion of the Humanitarian Mine Action program course conducted for soldiers from the Engineering Company of the Armenian Peacekeeping Brigade. Kansas National Guardsmen and a civilian representative from the U.S. Humanitarian Demining Training Center are instructing Armenian peacekeepers and engineer battalions on international demining standards as part of the Humanitarian Mine Action program and will assist the Armenian government in developing a national standard operating procedure for demining.
